Frequently Asked Questions About
Podcast Jungle

We have several podcast studios available for rent, and you can book them directly online. In the calendar, you can immediately see whether a podcast studio is available and reserve a time slot to record your podcast. We can also record podcasts on location. This cannot be booked online yet, because it requires more coordination, so you will need to contact us to check availability and discuss the details. Our studios are always open during weekends, evenings, and nights, and if we know in advance that there is a recording scheduled, we make sure someone is available to guide you. This is also what makes our studio unique. We want to be accessible to everyone at any time, so that people with different schedules — including those who work late hours, such as a security guard who would love to create a podcast — can do so as well. Some people work during the day, others work at night, and we don’t want to exclude anyone.

There are fixed rates for the studio. The prices for recording a podcast can be found on our website. If you go to podcastjungle.nl, you can find all the pricing information there.

You can book as little as one day in advance, so if you want to reserve the studio the day before, that is possible. The only condition is that there must be an available booking slot, which you can see live on the website. If you go to www.podcastjungle.nl, there is a booking module where you can check the availability of the podcast studios.

If you want to reschedule at the very last minute, we charge the full rate on the day itself. This is because we have already reserved the time slot, everything is prepared, and our staff has already come to the studio to assist you. One week in advance, we charge 50%, and two weeks in advance, we charge 25%. However, if something serious happens, such as the sudden passing of a family member, we obviously won’t send an invoice. But if the cancellation is because a guest doesn’t show up or for a similar reason, we will still need to charge the costs.

Yes, we offer subscriptions for regular clients. For example, one recording day per month or ten episodes per quarter. This gives you a discount on studio costs and editing services.

Yes, we are open from early in the morning until late in the evening. We are also open during weekends. If we know in advance, we make sure someone is available.

The studios are easily accessible by bus, metro, and train, making them very easy to reach in Utrecht. From the station and by car, you can park directly next to the A12 with ease. There is always parking available. You will never have to worry about not being able to park at this studio in Utrecht, which also makes it unique: we are one of the most accessible studios in Utrecht where parking is easy. It is also important to know that we offer additional facilities. We have a restaurant where you can enjoy a drink, have something to eat, or meet with someone. We also have workspaces available if you still need to get some work done.

Yes, every studio has air conditioning and ventilation. It is important that the temperature is comfortable for both people and equipment. We usually keep the temperature around 21 degrees Celsius.

Yes, you are allowed to bring drinks, but please avoid food that creates crumbs or has a strong smell. We want to keep the studio clean and protect the equipment. Water, coffee, or tea are perfectly fine. We prefer not to have alcohol during recordings, as it can affect voice quality and focus.

Yes, absolutely. We actually encourage it. We love it when people bring their own branding into the studio: banners, logos, and decorative elements. The only thing we ask is that you don’t use nails or tape on the walls — we are happy to help you set everything up.

Yes, you can always get a short tour. Just give us a call or send us an email, and we’ll schedule it. It usually takes around ten minutes. We actually encourage people to see the space before booking.

Yes, all studios are on the same floor and accessible by elevator on the 4th floor.

Yes, always. There is parking available right in front of the building. There is also space for trucks or vans if someone is bringing a lot of equipment.

The largest recording we have had was, I believe, twelve people at the same time. However, I am not necessarily a big fan of having twelve people in a podcast at once, because it often makes it difficult to really go into depth. What I can guarantee is that we can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people in our studio. Anything above that requires a customized setup.

Sometimes, yes. We can accommodate small audience recordings. Our studios can easily fit 4 to 6 people watching. Outside the studios, it is also possible to follow the recording through a screen. This just needs to be planned in advance regarding seating and sound, but it is definitely possible.

The equipment is definitely included with the studio rental, because a studio without equipment is not very useful. The studio rental always includes all the necessary equipment.

Yes, of course. It is a broad question when it comes to bringing your own equipment, but if you want to add a camera for video recording, that is absolutely possible. We have no issue with that. However, everything is already available to create a high-quality recording, so there is usually no real reason to bring your own equipment. If you want to bring your laptop into the shot or add personal items to decorate the studio and make it your own, that is always possible.

Ja, er is altijd een technicus aanwezig die helpt met het opstarten, levels instellen en bij problemen inspringt. Daarna kan die persoon in de ruimte blijven of even weggaan, afhankelijk van wat jij wilt.

Yes, there is always a technician present who helps with the setup, adjusting levels, and stepping in if any issues occur. After that, the technician can either stay in the room or step away, depending on your preference.

No problem, we set everything up for you. We also briefly explain the best posture and how to maintain the right distance from the microphone. And if something goes seriously wrong, we step in and fix it. Podcasts are usually not live, so re-recording a part is not a problem.

Yes, there are available inputs on the mixing console. We can help with connecting and setting everything up.

Yes, all studios are equipped with cameras. We can create a single fixed shot or use multiple camera angles. During the editing process afterwards, we combine the camera footage and audio files into a smooth podcast, switching between the different perspectives.

Yes, we have three fixed cameras that automatically switch between angles. You can record a TikTok or YouTube Shorts format with multiple perspectives. We are doing this more and more often.

If you have no experience recording a podcast, we are more than happy to guide you through the process with care and enthusiasm. We have helped many people get started, from beginner podcasters creating content out of passion or for a foundation, to CEOs and executives from large corporate organizations who wanted to share their message. And a little secret: we are very good at helping people be authentic and truly themselves. That is exactly what makes a podcast so powerful — it is a medium where you can be completely yourself and where people can see who you really are.

Absolutely. We help many clients develop their podcast formats. Sometimes people start recording right away, but then realize that it works better when there is more structure. We help think through themes, recurring segments, the tone of voice, and the overall structure. We can even organize a one-hour format session where we develop the concept together.Absolutely. Yes, we work together with Social Elephant — our marketing agency — to promote podcasts through social media, advertising, and content marketing. Send us a message, and we can brainstorm together with one of our experts.

That happens quite often. We provide calm guidance, give guests some time to practice, and record a test episode. Most guests feel comfortable within five minutes.

Yes, definitely. We have copywriters in-house who can help write the intro, outro, and summary. We can also record voice-overs.

Yes, that is one of the most enjoyable things we do: helping think through the name, style, target audience, and first episodes. Together, we develop a strategy and create a complete podcast concept based on that strategy, tailored to your preferences.

Yes, that is actually the biggest part of what we do. We create business podcasts, knowledge-sharing podcasts, customer stories, and leadership podcasts. We often help with the strategy as well: what do you want to achieve, who is your target audience, and how does the podcast fit into your marketing strategy?

Yes, we have had clients from Belgium, Germany, and England. We speak English well and can also configure the equipment according to international standards, such as 48 kHz audio. Please let us know in advance if you would like to make use of this.

Yes, we started as a podcast studio, and we received a lot of requests from banks to produce webinars. So we expanded our knowledge of webinar software and the techniques needed to create them. This means you can also record a webinar in our studios. We also discovered that some people who rented our podcast studio started creating shorts from the studio as well: short videos for Instagram and other platforms.

Absolutely. What I do want to mention is that recording on location is often 3 to 4 times more expensive than renting a studio. However, that doesn’t mean it’s something you shouldn’t consider. When we record on location, we bring all the necessary equipment with us. We create a professional setup, arrange everything on-site, and afterwards we take care of editing the podcast.

We can definitely stream to YouTube or other live platforms to create a live feed. Most people still prefer to record their episodes, but I expect live streaming to become more popular because it allows people to show that something is authentic and happening in real time. In a world where AI is becoming increasingly present, it is getting harder to distinguish what is truly real.

That works very well. We have clients who record three or four episodes in a single day. It’s efficient and saves a lot of setup and transition time. We make sure the technical quality remains consistent and help with planning, breaks, and backups.

Usually one hour. However, with setup and preparation included, it’s recommended to reserve two hours, especially when recording video.

Yes, we can create clips for social media. We do this often: short teasers of 30 or 60 seconds with subtitles, a logo, and optionally a title bar.

Yes, but you do need to pay attention to licensing rights. We have royalty-free music available. If you want to use your own music, you need to make sure you have permission to use it.

Yes, most clients create series of 6 to 12 episodes. We help with planning, design, and consistency, so the podcast feels like a cohesive whole.

Yes, we do that often. We can take photos during or after the recording for your website or social media.

Yes, we always help with editing the podcast after the recording, unless someone specifically prefers to handle the editing themselves. We strive to ensure that everything leaving our studio meets a high standard of quality. So if you’d like to edit the podcast yourself, we’d just like to review it together first to make sure it meets the quality standards we want to maintain for everything produced in our studio.

The edited podcasts and short-form videos are delivered as .mp4 files in a Google Drive folder. Audio-only recordings are delivered as .mp3 files. If needed, we can also provide the files in other formats, such as .mov or .aac, upon request.

Yes, by default we apply light post-production, including noise reduction, level balancing, and compression to ensure your podcast sounds clear and professional. If you’d like, we can also provide full mastering optimized for platforms such as Spotify or Apple Podcasts.

Yes, we can help you set up your podcast account and create your RSS feed. Many clients don’t realize this only needs to be done once. After that, either you or our team can upload new episodes whenever they’re ready.

Absolutely. We work with clients who use podcasts for internal communication, employee onboarding, and training. These podcasts can remain private and are not published on public platforms.

By default, you’ll receive the raw podcast within 5 business days after the recording. You can then review it and provide feedback, after which we’ll finalize the episode. If you need it sooner, that’s almost always possible—sometimes even on the same day. Just let us know in advance, and we’ll make sure your podcast is ready on time.

Yes, we can tailor the editing exactly to your preferences: tightly edited, or more relaxed and natural. We usually discuss this during the first episode so we can get to know your style and match the editing accordingly.

We store the files for one month after delivery by default, unless you have a maintenance or hosting package. After that, we delete them for security reasons.

Yes, if you’d like, we can provide the raw files as well. You will receive the WAV and MP4 files via a download link or on a hard drive.

Yes, we can help with that. We can support you in creating a sponsorship model: how to make room for advertisements or sponsor mentions in your podcast without compromising the content.

We want it to be a place where everyone feels safe to be themselves. Not a cold technical environment, but a warm and welcoming space where people feel comfortable. At the same time, we combine this atmosphere with professional technology: top-quality sound, cameras, and service.

A good podcast is honest, personal, and not overly polished. People don’t want to hear an advertisement; they want to hear a genuine conversation. If someone laughs or sighs, that’s actually a good thing. It makes the podcast feel more human.

Haha, that’s a bit like asking about your favorite child. But there are definitely a few that stand out to me, especially the ones where people dared to share something truly personal. Those are the moments that impact me the most.

That they can be themselves. That they feel seen and heard. And that they have created something valuable that they can be proud of.
